Installation Process

Kitchen sinks are installed in two different methods, first is Top mounted and the second is Under mount. 

Top-mount Sink

The sink which is fitted from top of the countertop are top mount sinks. The rim of top mount sink sits over the counter top. It may be difficult to clean the counter area near the rim in such kind of fittings.

Under-mount Sinks

Under-mount sink has been mounted underneath the counter top. So, this kind of fitting doesn’t have any rim over the counter top which makes cleaning the counter top easy.  In under mount sink silicone-based sealants are usually used to assure a waterproof joint between the sink and the countertop material.

Although integrated sinks are good, but some basic point must be followed in maintaining its durability and aesthetic.

  • Integrated sinks are joined with sealants which prevent leakage. Make sure, the manufacturer must use a good adhesive while making such sinks.
  • The one which must affect the aesthetic is the stains which may occur through ingredients used in the kitchen.
  • The corners in such sinks is L-Shaped which makes cleaning the corners a tough task.
  • Such sinks can be made according to your wish i.e; Single bowl or double bowl.

About Stainless Steel Sink

  • Stainless Steel sinks are pre-designed sinks. That you may choose according to your kitchen size.
  • These sinks don’t have corners, they are designed like a deep bowl which is easy to clean. 
  • Few steel sinks may make noise. So always choose a sink which have insulant material, either sprayed or bonded onto the underside of the sink.
